Will there be contractor’s personnel entering the resident for investigating sewage discharge without wearing a relevant batch or certificate?
For carrying out user connection with the public sewerage system, it is necessary to investigate in advance for understanding the relevant conditions of the construction site, land use, septic tank (or sewage treatment facilities in the building) and discharge of livelihood drain. For avoiding disturbance to the residents, the SSO has requested contractors of relevant works to notify the SSO and Village Offices before carrying out any investigation, and to present a certificate and copies of the relevant documents during the investigation, request for resident’s approval for entering resident’s house; if necessary, request Chief of Village for assistance. Furthermore, before carrying out user drainage construction work, the SSO will convene a User Connection Meeting; residents are welcome to participate in the meeting and to coordinate with SSO for carrying out relevant construction works.
